Board of Directors

  • Roger Cabbage

    Founder

A love for hiking and mountain climbing inspired adventurous travels to South America, Africa, and Asia. He never set out to develop a water filtration system, but the need became both clear and desperate. As a former board member and volunteer at the Philanthropy Impact Team and Centura Global Health Initiatives, he discovered that approximately 1,000 children perish each day as a result of consuming contaminated water. He immediately began to develop solutions to provide clean water to these remote locations he had visited and beyond. Roger founded Mighty Water to take action and deliver safe and affordable water to the world. Through the introduction of low-cost water filters to households, clinics, and schools in areas of need, Roger hopes to curb these alarming statistics.

  • Rob Miller

    CEO

Rob is an industrial designer, educator, and adventurer with a passion for human-centered design. Over the past twenty-five years, He has developed new products and patents for both international companies and regional start-ups that have been recognized by the Industrial Designers Society of America, BusinessWeek, Wired Magazine, and the American Institute of Architects. Rob is now focused on social design initiatives and bringing products to market that resonate with the people who use them. His personal mission began as the co-inventor of a water filter system with founder, Roger Cabbage. After seeing the impact of social design first-hand he continues to work towards developing systems to end our global water crisis.

  • Dr David Ehrenberger

    President

David’s professional background includes private practice as a family physician and various leadership roles in healthcare as chief medical officer for a community hospital, a multispecialty physician group and a national healthcare consultancy.   These roles reflect his professional passions focused on community-based primary care and has led to medical mission work in the Peruvian Amazon over the past 15 years and more recently in the southern African country Lesotho. Here he witnessed the powerful impact of the 'medical model' of healthcare but also the imperative of basic public health measures--including access to clean water--to prevent illness and promote better health. In small and large villages, however, David saw efforts at centralizing water sanitation through water towers and filtration fail due to the cost and technical challenges of ongoing maintenance. Then, in 2016, he met Roger Cabbage, the founder of Mighty Water, on a trip to Peru--Roger envisioned a novel and decentralized approach to community-based clear water: low-tech, inexpensive yet effective filtration systems that last for years and are used by individuals and families. David was hooked and is honored to join the Mighty Water Board of Directors.

  • Nikhil Dandavati

    Treasurer

Nikhil was born and raised in Denver, Colorado as one of two sons of Indian immigrants who started their own engineering firm. He grew up connected to both his Indian heritage and the entrepreneurial spirit of building solutions that make a difference.

After studying finance at the University of Colorado, Boulder, he worked as an analyst at First Light Ventures, a venture capital fund focused on investing in businesses that create both profit and meaningful positive impact. He then returned to Denver to run his family's engineering firm, ValveSystems, where he spends his days solving complex problems from fluid dynamics to supply chain challenges.

Through trips to visit family in India, Nikhil witnessed firsthand how access to clean water transforms communities and believes deeply that clean water is fundamental to human thriving. His work in engineering systems and passion for sustainable, practical solutions give him a unique perspective on scaling initiatives that empower communities worldwide.
