Purpose

Share the power of clean water to uplift communities worldwide

Clean water changes everything, but not always in the ways people expect. When safe water reaches a community, the health impact is clear. The threat of illnesses like cholera, salmonella, giardia, E. coli, and typhoid begins to fade. But that is only the beginning of the story.

As health improves, daily life begins to change. A mother no longer has to choose between buying medicine and buying food. A father misses fewer days of work. Children who were once too sick to attend school now show up consistently, building a future that once felt out of reach. Time starts to return to people as well. Hours once spent walking long distances to collect water or gathering wood to boil it are given back and reinvested into families, education, and livelihoods.

This is where real change takes hold. Stronger families, consistent education, greater stability, and renewed dignity begin to shape the future of an entire community. This is why Mighty Water exists, not only to prevent disease, but to unlock opportunity.

Our Story

We are a nimble nonprofit team driven by the global need for simple and sustainable drinking water solutions

For more than 30 years, Roger traveled the world as an explorer, giving back along the way. In village after village, he was welcomed into communities where daily life depended on water sources contaminated with protozoa and bacteria. He saw the impact up close, especially on young children. What began as an observation became his personal mission.

That mission led Roger to found Mighty Water in 2018 and partner with Rob Miller, a product engineer, to develop a solution that would work in the realities of daily life in remote communities. From the start, they knew this was about more than delivering a quick fix. They listened first, taking time to understand each community’s needs, daily challenges, and cultural context. The result was a simple, effective, and affordable water filter, supported by locally led, collaborative programs that integrate distribution, education, and validation.

This comprehensive hands-on approach is what turns access into lasting change. Safe water practices are not just introduced; they become part of everyday life. And when that happens, health improves, families grow stronger, and communities gain the foundation they need to build a better future.
